Time or Money? Pick One

Let’s talk about time and money.

You either put in the time to save money, or you put in the money to save time.

And one of these will always cost you more than you think. You know I’m right.

Do you remember that DIY furniture phase? Yeah, me too. I spent six hours trying to assemble a $50 bookshelf to save cash. Meanwhile, a friend of mine paid $150, had it delivered, and spent those same six hours at the zoo with her kids.

That’s when it dawned on me, there is a cost associated with time. It might not come out of your bank account. Instead, it might cost you time with your family. It might cost you time to learn a new skill. It might cost you the time you need to grow your business.

I know you know this, but it is worth repeating: your resources aren’t infinite.

Sure, if you’re low on cash, investing your time might make sense.

But if you’re drowning in your to-do list and have the budget? Outsource it.

Buy back your time because it is the one thing you can’t earn more of.

So, what’s worth more to you—saving money or saving time?
